Veterans Day

Veterans Day Honors Those Who Have Served

Veterans Day originated in the Armistice Day holiday commemorating theNovember 11, 1918, armistice at 11 a.m. (hence “the eleventh hour ofthe eleventh day of the eleventh month”), which suspended active hostilities and effectively ended the First World War.

Unlike several other U.S. holidays now celebrated on Mondays to create long holiday weekends, Veterans Day continues to be observed on November 11. This preserves the historical significance of the date and helps focus attention on the holiday’s important purpose:

to honorAmerica's veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Ok Thats it my little tribute for Veterans Day. I know it is a day off from work for most but take a moment for your veteran on Friday.

i'm democrat, but have voted on the republican side before. lately i consider myself more as an independant.

you know what? eric ward means nothing to me. sometimes i feel like i don't even live in this town. who's this dweeb and what's he all about? i think i'm writing in Runnels - that one i've spoken to.

and a big fat no to baldacci.

of course all these questions of who's who in the emerald city comes from a girl who asks "who's keeping score?" in a game of darts on a digital dartboard.

it was such a classic moment.

Yeah that's Colby! They change sooo much from 11-13 it is incredible. Well he is almost 14 !!! aghhh

Yeah definitely write in Charlie Runnells from Abbott. You have to write his town in on the write in line too

i was gonna write in runnells too because i think eric ward needs some red meat...he looks sooo frail.
i missed the "who's keepin score".. that was the other night right? you friggin' retard.!!!

hahaha...yeah, ask niya about it - she loved it. =) i wanna play drunken darts again, that was soup-ah fun!

thanx for mentioning the Abbott part! d'oh.

he sure has changed alot. it's so weird to see/watch. riley had black hair till he was about 8 months old, then all of a sudden it went blonde - he had a reddish brown stage somewhere in there too...

voting was fun. billy said to rocky "come here ya old witch"....i laughed the whole time i was marking my little "x's". i don't think the old witch appreciated my giggles. yeah, so how come you fools didn't tell me i had to go to the new building? lol! d'oh. and AS IF half of the people running for stuff didn't have any opponents. i contemplated writing in "kid rock" on a bunch of them, but said, nah...let 'em have it. except for chuck of course.
